Old North Arcade Photo Shoot

In early March I participated in an editorial photo shoot at the Old North Arcade with the Columbus Editorial Society. These are regular photo shoots the Columbus Editorial Society puts and offers a great opportunity to photograph in new places. 

Editorial photo shoots are always fun. The collaboration between everyone is great. They also present certain challenges as some environments can be more challenging than others. On this particular day we had three locations. Different locations mean different environments, different lighting needs, and lends itself to quickly taking in the environment of a location and then capturing some excellent photos!

The Location - Old North Arcade

Old North Arcade is on North High Street in Columbus, Ohio. It is an arcade bar with a variety of arcade games, pinball, air hockey, skee-ball, foosball, and even console video games. I’ll definitely be making the trip back for some video game fun in the future!

The location made a great atmosphere for some photos with the light from the arcade games, foosball table, bar counters, and even some great window light towards the front of the venue. So many possibilities here!

The Models

I worked with three models for this portion of the editorial photo shoot. All amazing and beautiful women.
